The Washington, DC Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel is planning a CLE seminar titled Crisis Management: Making Sure Your Company Is Prepared for a Crisis.
The program will take place on Tuesday, April 22 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, 7920 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA.
Nobody expects a crisis, but it could happen at any time. When it does, the result for your company is likely to be better if you have an effective crisis management plan in effect. This seminar will discuss best practices for creating an effective crisis management plan that covers all the contingencies for your company. Attendees will learn what role they as corporate counsel should play in effectuating their company's plan, and how they can ensure that if they have a plan, it is carried out correctly when needed.
The moderator will be Kathy T. Barlow, vice president, Marsh USA, Inc. Other speakers will be Wendy Kelley, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, Biovail Pharmaceuticals; Robert S. Lavet, former senior vice president and general counsel, Sallie Mae, Inc.; Alan W. Adamson, vice president and general counsel, Carl M. Freeman Companies, and Ilene Merdinger, managing director, Marsh McLennan, Inc.
