The Washington, DC Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Not Just a Scrivener: The Role of the Corporate Secretary in Governance Today.
The program will take place on Thursday, May 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the offices of Troutman Sanders, 1001 Haxall Point, Richmond, VA.
Panelists will offer multiple perspectives (from large public companies, a large private company, and a non-profit organization) on the important roles that the Corporate Secretary plays in the boardroom.
The program moderator will be George Massih, general counsel and corporate secretary, Corporation Service Company. Other speakers will be Michael Beverly, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, LandAmerica Financial Group; Luke Kissam, vice president, general counsel and secretary, Albemarle Corporation; Mollie Roy, associate general counsel and assistant secretary, Freddie Mac, and Dave Meyers, Troutman Sanders.
