On Saturday, September 25, the Washington Metro Area ACC Chapter is holding their 8th National Public Lands Clean-up Day.
Volunteers can join with members of WMACCA and bring along family and friends to assist in cleaning-up federal park land in the DC area. All volunteers are welcome for a fun and rewarding day.
This year's project will be at the federal park in Great Falls, Virginia. The ACC works directly with federal park rangers to help improve the parks for the hundreds of thousands of visitors that arrive each year. The project will involve removal of trash, removal of invasive species as well as planting grass and native flowers, trail rebuilding and maintenance of trails in order to beatify our national public lands.
This is an ACC-wide event across the U.S., and other chapters may be participating in their jurisdictions as well. Check the various chapter websites at www.acc.com/chapters.
