Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that Joseph Pari has joined the Firm as a partner and Co-Chair of Weil’s global Tax Department, and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., and New York offices.
Mr. Pari joins Weil from KPMG LLP, where he was the National Principal-in-Charge of Washington National Tax. His practice focuses on the federal income taxation issues related to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other divestiture strategies, internal restructurings, bankruptcy workouts, and consolidated return matters. He has particular experience advising on corporate tax planning and transactional matters. Prior to joining KPMG LLP in 2013, he was a partner at another major law firm.
