The University of Texas School of Law will sponsor its annual technology law conference from Wednesday evening, May 21 through lunch on Friday, May 23.The location is at the Four Seasons Hotel, 98 San Jacinto Boulevard, Austin, TX. Wednesday evening's optional session titled, the Market for Online Gambling and Fantasy Sports - Business and Legal Issues, will commence at 6 p.m. and adjourn at 8 p.m. with registration starting at 5 p.m. The program on Thursday will run from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Registration on both days will commence at 8 a.m.
The faculty will include John S. Dzienkowski, the University of Texas School of Law; Zak Karamally, Affiliated Computer Services, Inc.; Michael B. Sapherstein, MLB Advanced Media, L.P.; and Keith E. Witek, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Among the many topics to be explored are: how to structure and negotiate complex license agreements; warranties, indemnity provisions, and limitation of liability; M&A and open source due diligence; trademark and domain names; advertising; copyright developments; online agreements, and import and export compliance traps.
