The Utah State Bar's Fall Forum is scheduled for Thursday November 20 and Friday, November 21 at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City.
The forum begins on Thursday evening with networking and CLE scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. A film called Afterimage: The Art of 337 by Alex Haworth and Davey Davis will be shown as the opening event.
On Friday, the program begins at 8:15 a.m. with guest Jay G. Foonberg, a practicing attorney, CPA, author, and popular CLE presenter. CLE sessions follow with choices of sessions in the morning and afternoon, and it adjourns at 5:15 p.m. Six general topics attendees can choose among are the trial academy, a general session, user's guide to mediation, green law practice, hot topics, and law practice tips. Five specific topics under each of these headings will be offered throughout the day.
The lunchtime speaker, Hank White, executive director of the ABA and current president of the Institute of International Container Lessors, will discuss the changing nature of the practice.
Other speakers include Linda G. Sharp, Legal Consultant, Kroll Ontrack;Ralph E. Becker, Salt Lake City mayor; Jason Taylor, director, Utah Society for Environmental Education; Billy L. Walker, Office of Professional Conduct; and Grant R. Clayton, Clayton Howarth & Cannon.
