This year, the Utah State Bar will hold its 2008 summer convention in Sun Valley Idaho at the Sun Valley Resort.
The convention will take place July 16 to July 19. It begins on Wednesday, July 16 with an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by free ice skating.On Tuesday, the general session begins at 8 a.m. with the keynote speaker, Monroe Freedman, scheduled for 9 a.m.Mr. Freedman has been described by the New York Times as "a pioneer in the field of legal ethics" and has received the American Bar Association's highest award for professionalism.The Thursday sessions end at 3 p.m.On Friday, the general session runs from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and features a talk by Steve Wozniak, cofounder of Apple Computers, Inc.
On Saturday, day four of the convention, sessions run from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Fun family and sporting events, such as golf and tennis tournaments, fly fishing, films, and socials are scheduled all four days.
