The Utah State Bar Association has scheduled its 2008 Spring Convention for Thursday-Saturday, March 13-15.
The gathering will take place at the Dixie Center at St. George, 1835 Convention Center Drive, St. George, UT. Sessions will run from, 6 to 8 p.m. on day one, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on day two, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on day three.
Speakers will address topics such as: Interviewing Witnesses: To Record or Not to Record; Cross Border Movement of Employees; Cyber Liability; Construction Law Update; Understanding the Utah/Nevada Groundwater Conflict; Water Law 101; Immigration Law Update; Negotiating Tax Issues in Business Sales and Combinations: A Business Attorney's Guide; Megafirm - The "Evil" Evolution of the American Law Firm and How Corporate Counsel Will Strike Back, and Lawyer Heal Thyself - When the Stress of Lawyering Interferes With Your Life.
Among the speakers will be Creighton C. Horton, assistant Utah attorney general; Magistrate Judge Paul M. Warner, U.S. District Court for Utah; Jeffrey Krivis, past president, International Academy of Mediators, and J. Clifton Fleming, professor, J. Reuben Clark Law School.
