New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education will sponsor a program titled Environmental Law: What Every Lawyer Needs to Know, on Wednesday, October 22 at the New Jersey Law Center, New Brunswick. The program, including dinner, will commence at 5 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.
Since the late 1960s, the field of environmental law has not only burgeoned, but has also become increasingly complex, both on the state and federal level. Most attorneys, even though they are not "full time" environmental lawyers, need to be acquainted with the framework of environmental law, and the scope and breadth of environmental regulation, as it touches upon many areas of practice.Among the items to be discussed will be: accessing sources of environmentally-related information; what to do when the environmental inspector knocks; handling the self-reporting requirements; and the future.
The program will be presented by Lewis Goldshore, one of New Jersey's foremost practitioners in the environmental field.
