On Thursday and Friday, March 25 and 26, the University of Texas School of Law has scheduled a Land Use Conference in Austin at the AT&T Conference Center Hotel at UT.
It will run from 9 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. on Friday.
Among the topics and speakers are An Updated Look at Public Improvement Districts to Promote Economic Development with Dwight A. (Ike) Shupe, K&L Gates, LLP; Avoiding the Perp Walk: Criminal Laws and Ethics in Land Use with Ross Fischer, Denton, Navarro, Rocha, & Bernal, P.C.; Recent Land Use Law Developments with Bruce M. Kramer, of counsel, McGinnis, Lochridge, & Kilgore, L.L.P.; and Getting What You Want: A Review of Negotiation Skills and Ethical Issues with DeWitt F. McCarley, City of Charlotte, president of the International Municipal Attorneys Association.
On Wednesday, March 24, UT will offer a Land Use Boot Camp from 9:30 a.m. until 6:15 p.m. CLE sessions will be offered in the morning, including a Boot Camp Q&A panel discussion. At 2:15 p.m. the conference will adjourn to a bus tour of two of Austin's signature developments with commentary and discussion from master planners, developers and city officials.
