The University Of Texas School Of Law will host a two-day Mergers & Acquisitions Institute on Thursday & Friday, October 15 & 16, at the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas.
The Institute will run from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on day one and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on day two.
Highlights of the program include opportunities in distressed M&A, a panel discussion of distressed investors, restructuring advisors and bankruptcy lawyers; a corporate deal makers roundtable, adiscussion about the deal-making world that is likely to emerge from the financial crisis; trends and developments in public company M&A 2009 with public company M&A practitioners discussing today's public company deal trends and issues arising out of the recent litigation surrounding broken deals; an in-house M&A counsel roundup with in-house attorneys discussing success stories and lessons learned in teaming up with outside counsel to plan and execute strategic acquisitions and divestitures; and a private equity roundtable.
