The State Bar Of Arizona Invites National Leader To Explore Land Use Issues

The State Bar of Arizona has asked Robert H. Freilich of Miller Barondess LLP and national editor of the Urban Lawyer to speak at an upcoming seminar titled 2008 Land Use Update.

The daylong CLE session is planned for Friday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.

During the morning sessions, participants will hear the faculty speak about the first challenge to Arizona's Prop 207 (the Private Property Protection Act). The housing downturn and its impact on policy and legal issues also will be discussed in the morning.

Dr. Freilich will give a lunchtime presentation about his ideas for sustainability in Arizona's desert environment.Afternoon topics look at how developers and neighborhoods can cooperate to achieve sound results, and that will be followed by a "Stump the Experts" session.

Among the faculty are Sue E. Pratt, principal planner, Coconino County Planning Department; Robert Van Wyck, chief bar counsel, State Bar of Arizona, and Christopher Schmaltz, Gust Rosenfeld.
