The State Bar of Texas has scheduled an Advanced Insurance Law Course for Thursday and Friday, April 8 and 9, at the Adolphus Hotel, 1321 Commerce Street in Dallas.
The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
David D. Disiere, Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom, will offer Thursday's luncheon presentation - Family Feud - Ethics Presentation, and James L. Mitchell of Payne Mitchell Law Group will moderate a discussion about appealing to the courts in insurance cases. On Friday, Ernest Martin Jr. of Haynes and Boone will offer Progressive Losses - The Montrose Case, and Werner A. Powers, also of Haynes and Boone, will discuss Suing Surplus Lines and Unadmitted Carriers.
Among the topics that will be discussed on Friday are Chinese Drywall: What is It? with Bruce W. Steckler of Baron & Budd, and Chinese Drywall Litigation - Coverage Issues with Veronica Martinsen Bates, Hermes Sargent Bates.
