The State Bar of Texas has scheduled a two-day law practice management course titled Working Smarter in Hard Economic Times to be held on Thursday and Friday, November 5 and 6, at the Norris CityCentre, 803 Town and Country Lane in Houston.
It will run from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
Topics to be discussed include Less is More: Why You Are Here with Terry O. Tottenham, Fulbright & Jaworksi; Office Feng Shui: Maximizing Client Confidence with Mark L. Greenwald, Law Office of Mark Greenwald, and Susan K. Johnston, Johnston and Johnston; Beat the Clock: Alternative Billing for Better Client Relations with Mark D. Wolf, assistant general counsel, FMC Technologies; and Getting to Know You: Using Social Media Ethically in Your Law Practice by Debra L. Bruce, Lawyer-Coach LLC and Richard C. Price, The Price Law Firm. Other topics are New and/or Tightwad Technologies for Interesting Times, Perfecting Presentations for Trial, Mediation and Clients, and a lunch presentation, Never Dine Alone: Old School Client Communication Techniques Still Work.
