The State Bar of Texas will present its 16th Annual Advanced Employment Law Course.
The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, January 31 and February 1 at the Hyatt Regency Houston, 1200 Louisiana Street, Houston. Sessions will run from 8:15 a.m. to 5:20 p.m.on the first day and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on the second day.
Speakers will examine issues such as: Recent Developments Under the National Labor Relations Act; Keeping Your Client Out of Jail; E-Discovery; Employment Issues Facing Immigrant and Low Wage Workers; Title VII Discrimination Update; ADA Update; FMLA Update; Senior Executive Agreements; Benefit Class Actions, and Troublesome Ethical Issues.
Among the speakers are Richard R. Carlson, professor of law, South Texas College of Law; James H. Kizziar Jr., Bracewell & Giuliani; and Shannon Brown Schmoyer and John V. Jansonius, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
