The 2008 meeting for the State Bar of New Mexico will be held at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess hotel, 7575 East Princess Drive in Scottsdale, Arizona. Titled Annual Meeting and Bench and Bar Conference: from Crisis to Courthouse, the meeting will take place Thursday through Sunday, July 17 to 20, with CLE seminars and entertainment planned each day.
On day one, the program runs from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by an opening reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. On day two, the program runs from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and is followed by receptions, CLE awards, and a performance by Mike Rayburn.The program runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on day three followed by an outing to a Diamondbacks game.On Sunday, the program will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The keynote speaker will be Kenneth Feinberg, partner and founder of The Feinberg Group LLP in Washington, DC. He is recognized as one of the nation's leaders in mediation and ADR.
Donna M. Beegle is also scheduled to speak.An experienced speaker, discussion leader and author,she serves as president of Communication Across Barriers, a communications consulting firm, and she is founder and CEO of PovertyBridge, a nonprofit dedicated to changing the lives of those in poverty.
