On Thursday to Sunday, September 15-18, the State Bar of California will hold its 84th Annual Meeting in Long Beach.
It will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center on Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach.
Among the offerings are 158 educational programs with up to 19 hours of MCLE credit and 3 education tracks, including credit in all the subfields and legal specialization credit; luncheons, social events, the California Women Lawyers Annual Dinner; the Exhibit Hall, Art Show,and charity golf classic; and an impressive group of keynote speakers, including Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, Cherie Blair QC, Britain's former first lady, and Hon. Albie Sachs, writer, activist lawyer, and former judge for the Constitutional Court of South Africa.
Among the topics that will be covered are top issues in international mergers and acquisitions; practicing law in the electronic age; elimination of bias in the legal profession as good business and a moral and ethical imperative; employment law update; online privacy; and encountering cultural complexities in cross-border cases.
