A two-day employment law conference is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, July 24 and 25, at the South Texas College of Law, 1303 San Jacinto Street, Houston.
The program begins at 8:35 a.m. and ends at 5:15 p.m. on day one, and on day two it runs from 8:25 a.m. until 4:35 p.m.
The course will explore such employment law issues as updates about what the federal appeals court covering Texas is saying, an ethics seminar presented by the former GC and CEO of Southwest Airlines, James F. Parker, titled Do the Right Thing: Easy to Say, Harder to Do, a discussion of border law issues titled Melting Borders: Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, immigration status, employment discrimination, the EEOC's approach to litigation; ADA - who is disabled, who is not, and what can an employer do about it; mandated wellness programs, and a corporate counsel insider session.
