On Wednesday through Friday, September 15 to 17, The Society of Corporate Secretaries & Government Professionals has scheduled the 2010 Western Regional Conference at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins, One Nob Hill in San Francisco.
Those who register by August 30 will save $50 off the cost of the conference.
The conference will offer a comprehensive program for the Northern California, Southern California, Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain chapters. Discussions will cover such topics associal media and its implications for the corporate secretary, the board's role in enterprise risk oversight, stock transfer industry developments, the virtual annual meeting, annual meeting fundamentals, and what keeps the corporate secretary up at night.
Among the featured speakers are Society Chair Kathleen Combs, PECO Energy; Chair-Elect John Seethoff, Microsoft; Doug Stewart, Intel; Patrick McGurn, RiskMetrics; and Ken King, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
A golf tournament will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 15 at the Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco. The deadline to register for the tournament is August 1.
