On Monday, February 28 and Tuesday, March 1, PLI will offer Broadband and Cable Industry Law 2011 at the PLI CA Center, 685 Market Street in San Francisco.
The program will run from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The material for this program has been revamped this year. Attendees will hear cutting-edge analysis of federal initiatives and FCC regulations and an examination of current case law, the latest technology forecast and market trends. Specific topics include Developments in Net Neutrality and the FCC's Third Way; Current Issues in State and Local Cable Regulation; Latest Regulatory Developments Affecting Cable's Voice and Wireless Business; and Antitrust Issues in Communications Policy.
Among the speakers are Ben Golant, assistant general counsel, U.S. Copyright Office; David E. Green, vice president, public policy, NBC Universal; Erica Newland, policy analyst, Center for Democracy & Technology; and Austin Schlick, general counsel, Federal Communications Commission.
