The San Francisco Bar Association will discuss Recent Developments in Digital Copyright Litigation on Thursday, November 20, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.
Moderator David M. Given of Phillips, Erlewine & Given LLP will lead a panel discussion about the implications of the Second Circuit's decision in Cartoon Network, etc. v. Cablevision, etc., Judge Fogel's decision regarding fair use in Lenz v. Universal Music Group, and the proposed rule-making regarding Section 115 of the Copyright Act.
Panelists will be Zahavah Levine, chief counsel of YouTube/Google; Fred von Lohmann, senior intellectual property attorney, Electronic Frontier Foundation; and Steve Tapia, lead attorney, Copyright and Trade Secret Practice of Microsoft Corporation.
