The Connecticut Bar Association will present a CLE seminar titled Handling Acts of Hate and Harassment in the Workplace.
The program will take place on Monday, February 25 starting at 6 p.m., at the CBA Law Center, 30 Bank Street, New Britain, CT.
This seminar will cover acts of hate and harassment in the workplace. Attendees will learn how to effectively represent both the employer and the employee with regard to these types of claims at the administrative and court level as well as in mediation. Other issues to be addressed include the Faragher-Ellerth defense and effective employer complaint procedures.
The program chair is Deborah L. McKenna, Outten & Golden LLP. Speakers will be Stuart M. Katz, Cohen and Wolf PC; Stacy Smith Walsh, Day Pitney LLP; Dawne G. Westbrook, attorney at law, and Donna M. Wilkerson, chief human rights referee, Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.
