On Tuesday, March 22, the Bar Association of San Francisco will hold No Glass Ceiling: West Coast Regional Summit, an invitation-only event and the first symposium for California law firm managing partners and female general counsels from Fortune 500 companies.
The summit is being sponsored jointly by the bar's No Glass Ceiling Initiative and the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession. It will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street, San Francisco.
The program's focus will be on the ways in which the legal profession, and especially clients, are responding to the changing economics of law firms and the opportunities and challenges that presents for women. Experts from the legal profession and corporate America will discuss the incentives and best practices for law firms to maximize their resources and profits, and female general counsels will share insights and changing expectations on everything from awarding origination and staffing client teams to incentives for law firms to increase the number of women in leadership positions. A cocktail reception with general counsels will immediately follow the event.
