ACC San Francisco Bay Area will host a Hard-to-Find CLE Credits program in Santa Clara on Friday, January 22, at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, 5101 Great America Parkway in Santa Clara.
The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Instead of scrambling at the last minute for those hard-to-find CLEs, attendees will be able to fulfill the elimination of bias, substance abuse, and ethics credits in one place at a program that promises to be entertaining and thought-provoking.
The day will begin with Ethical Considerations for Companies and Candidates Before, During and After a job search, a session that will explore and highlight some key ethical issues to keep in mind for both the candidate and companies as they go through the hiring process. The session will also cover what ethical rules the candidate and company should observe after employment begins.
The substance abuse session, International Business Etiquette 201: Tips on Limiting Your Drinking While Doing Business Abroad, with a focus on how U.S attorneys can diplomatically limit alcohol consumption during business trips abroad, will follow.
Lunch features a Jeopardy-like session that will focus on questions that in-house attorneys face on a daily basis.
Dealing with Bias in Cross-Cultural Negotiations and International Transactions, which will focus on the cultural differences U.S.-based attorneys must be sensitive to as they negotiate with foreign companies, will fulfill elimination of bias credits. A final ethics segment, the FCPA, will end the day.
