The San Diego ACC chapter and LexisNexis are offering members a CLE session and wine tasting event in Temecula on Sunday, August 14.
Members will meet at the Carmel Valley Park and Ride 12791 Sorrento Valley Road in San Diego. The day will begin with the CLE session - "Ethical Landmines: Real-Life, Cutting-Edge Issues from Today's Headlines" - a discussion about issues specific to the role of the in-house attorney including the government forcing attorneys to act as gatekeepers for their corporate clients; dual representation when both companies and individual officers are under investigation; advising corporate clients to waive the attorney-client privilege when under investigation; e-discovery and its ethical challenges; the crime-fraud exception to the attorney-client privilege; outside counsel requesting advance waivers of conflicts; and protecting client confidences in the blogging-Twitter era.
A luxury motor coach will shuttle attendees to Temecula, where they will enjoy a day of wine tasting, tours, and a private family-style luncheon at Wilson Creek Winery.
The motor coach will depart at 10:00 a.m., so members are asked to arrive before that time. Space is limited, so register early with David Maggiore-Anet, (800) 253-4182 x. 8916523 or email [email protected].
