A brown bag program titled The New SEC - What Does it Mean To You?Has been scheduled for Thursday, June 4, at Morrison & Foerster, 12531 High Bluff Drive in San Diego.
The program will run from noon to 1 p.m., with lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m.
After being beaten down by market turmoil and public criticism over the handling of the Madoff matter, the SEC is fighting back with the support of the Obama administration and with new priorities, a new chairperson and head of enforcement, and a bigger budget.
Presenters Sean T. Prosser, partner and former SEC enforcement attorney and Kimberly S. Greer,of counsel, both with Morrison & Foerster LLP, will discuss what, if anything, has actually changed at the SEC and what this means to public companies, their officers and their lawyers.
