The San Diego ACC chapter has scheduled a mini MBA program for in-house counsel for Tuesday, November 18, at the Rady School of Management in Otterson Hall on the UCSD Campus.
The program will start at 7:30 a.m. and adjourn at 6:30 p.m. with a half-hour lunch and keynote presentation and a wine and cheese reception that begins at 5:30. It is designed for in-house counsel who have extensive corporate experience but who would like to develop a better understanding of other aspects of a firm such as business strategy, operations management, and finance.
Faculty include Holly Green, founder and managing director of The Human Factor LLC, who will present a segment about how personality affects decision making, data gathering, organization, and communication; Jerry Jellison, author, speaker, and professor of social psychology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles who will speak about change management and why traditional tools often fail to overcome emotionally based resistance to change; and Rossen Valkanov, associate professor of Finance at the Rady School of Management at UCSD who will discuss valuation and the financial mechanics of merger acquisition deals.
