Price Discrimination Laws Explained In LA Seminar

The Los Angeles County Bar Association will present What You Should Know about Price-Discrimination Laws on Thursday, October 7, at the Bar Association, 1055 West 7th Street, Los Angeles.

The meal begins at noon and the program runs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The program speaker, Harvey I. Saferstein, Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glosky and Popeo PC, will give a clear and practical description of the complex federal and California price-discrimination laws, emphasizing how attorneys can and should advise corporate clients in complying with these laws, which affect the pricing decisions of buyers and sellers in numerous business industries offering commodity-type products. Mr. Saferstein is a former president of the State Bar of California, a former Los Angeles regional director of the Federal Trade Commission, and a long-time member of the executive committee of LACBA's Antitrust and Unfair Business Practices Section. He has advised companies on price-discrimination laws and has testified before Congress's Antitrust Modernization Commission on the topic.
