Practicing Immigration Law In Colorado Discussed In Spring Seminar

On Thursday, April 21, the Colorado Bar Association will present Practicing Immigration Law in the Absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform. It will be held at the CLECI Large Classroom, 1900 Grant Streetin Denver.

In the morning, Family-Based Immigration, Immigration Remedies for Vulnerable Populations, and Hot Topics in Asylum and Refugee Law will be covered. In the afternoon,Andrea I. Gomez-Oxman, Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network, and Jeff Joseph, the Joseph Law Firm, P.C.,will discuss Immigration Enforcement Practices: ICE Detainers for Those in Criminal Custody, Immigration Bond Practice, Practice Tips for Clients in Detention, and New ICE Memos on Discretion. At the end of the day, a panel discussion about researching an immigration law case and best research practices will include Mark R. Barr and Mari L. Matsumoto, Lichter & Associates PC; David N. Simmons, The Immigration Law Office of David N. Simmons; and Kathleen M. Glynn, The Large Law Firm LLC.
