Internal Investigations 2009: How to Protect Your Clients or Company is the title of a course being offered by the Practising Law Institute on Tuesday, June 16. To be held at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center, 450 Cityfront Plaza Drive, Chicago, the seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. with opening remarks and adjourn at 4:45 p.m.
The number of and reasons for internal investigations continues to rise, and given the current market environment, this trend will no doubt continue. In order to best serve your clients or company and limit exposure, you need to know when and how to conduct effective and legal internal investigations. A faculty comprised of top government regulators and leading practitioners from corporations, law firms and financial institutions will provide practical insights and advice and give attendees the real-world tools required to effectively counsel clients or their company. The seminar will take participants through an internal investigation from beginning to end and will cover all of the legal and ethical issues to be faced in between.
