PLI To Explore Parallel Patent And Reexamination Proceedings

An upcoming CLE seminar sponsored by the Practising Law Institute titled Parallel Patent Litigation & Reexamination Proceedings 2008: Keeping Your Case on Track is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, at the PLI Center, 685 Market Street in San Francisco.

In a time when the number of patent reexamination requests has more than tripled over the last four years, PLI offers this program which will be of particular interest to in-house IP counsel, patent litigators and patent prosecutors. The growing importance of parallel reexamination proceedings in patent litigation and what it means to both patent litigators and patent prosecutors will be thoroughly explored in this program.

The half-day session will begin at 9 a.m. and adjourn at 12:30 p.m.. Topics that will be covered are Understanding Patent Reexamination Procedure and the Impact of the Process, the Legal Implications of Patent Reexamination, and the Impact of Reexamination on Litigation Strategy and Tactics.
