The Practising Law Institute will sponsor a program to discuss Securities Arbitration 2008: Evolving and Improving on Wednesday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the PLI Center, 810 Seventh Avenue at 53rd Street, New York City.
In the past year, securities arbitration has undergone a dramatic and rapidly paced evolution, along with a public reevaluation of the process. Among the faculty who will discuss the latest developments and offer suggestions will be Kenneth L. Andrichik, Senior Vice President and Director of Mediation and Business Strategies, FINRA Dispute Resolution, Inc.; Michael P. Golden, CEO MPG Consulting Services, Inc.; Bradford D. Among the topics to be covered will be the function of FINRA's National Arbitration and Mediation Committee; how to navigate the new and improved FINRA website; the discovery process and the new Discovery Guide, and learning the nuances of direct settlements as an alternative to mediation.
A simultaneous live webcast of the session will be made available. Webcast participants will have the ability to submit questions electronically.
