The Practising Law Institute (PLI) is planning a CLE seminar titled Audit Committee Workshop 2008: What Audit Committee Members and Those Who Advise Them Need to Know Now.
The program will take place on Wednesday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the PLI Conference Center, 810 7th Avenue, New York City.
An expert faculty of public company directors who serve on audit committees, lawyers, CPAs and public relations consultants who advise audit committees as well as government regulators who oversee auditors and audit committees will review the important issues and offer best practices to meet the many challenges facing audit committees today. Attendees will learn about recent developments, audit committee expectations in the current environment, ways to improve audit committee focus, efficiency and effectiveness and how to handle increasing risk management challenges.
The program co-chairs are Margaret M. Foran of Pfizer Inc., John F. Olson of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Edward F. Smith of KPMG's Audit Committee Institute.
