The Practising Law Institute in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute is hosting its Annual Directors Institute on Corporate Governance, on Thursday, October 8, from 9:00 a.m. through 5:15 p.m. The program will be a live simultaneous groupcast to both the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's locations in Pennsylvania, the CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building, Suite 1010 in Philadelphia, and video-conference to the PBI Pittsburgh Center at 339 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
Due to the finance crisis and the new administration, corporate governance is now one of the hottest topics in corporate law. Under the new administration there have been and will be comprehensive regulatory changes and reinvigorated enforcement efforts that will affect the corporate landscape. The Director's Institute on Corporate Counsel is presented in cooperation with the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals and aims to bring corporate directors and their advisors information and strategies to function in the current and rapidly changing environment.
