On Wednesday, February 17, join the Practising Law Institute for a special program focusing on corporate governance in 2010.
The program is co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and will be simulcast live to The CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Philadelphia, PA and to the PBI Professional Development Center, 339 Sixth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA. The seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. and adjourn at 5:00 p.m.
Attendees will learn how corporate governance law continues to evolve and change and will be advised by expert co-chairs, David M. Becker, general counsel and senior policy advisor, Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and James R. Doty, Baker Botts LLP, on regulatory reform. The focus will be on new regulations on say on pay, disclosure, a review from the newly reconstituted SEC, and enforcement and litigation in the post-meltdown era.
Other distinguished faculty will include keynote speaker Hon. Elisse B. Walter, commissioner, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; Hank Bond Walther, assistant chief, Criminal Division, Fraud Section, U.S. Department of Justice, and Gregory S. Bruch, Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
