Participants will consider the practical impact of SEC rulemaking and initiatives including the issues related to the lack of access to credit and capital, TARP, executive compensation, corporate governance, shareholder activism, the required use of XBRL (Extensible Business Reporting Language), and the implementation of international accounting standards.

The workshop co-chairs are Martin P. Dunn, O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Kevin J. Harnisch, Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.Among the speakers will be Andrew M. Calamari, associate regulatory director, Division of Enforcement, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; Anne C. Flannery, Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP; Deir D. Gumbs, Covington & Burling LLP; and David M. Lynn, Morrison & Foerster LLP.
