Pennsylvania Bar Institute Looks At The Future Of E-Discovery

On Wednesday, July 13, PBI will address the future of e-discovery in a seminar titled Looking Down the Road: the Future of Electronic Data Discovery.

The event will be held at PBI's CLE Conference Center at the Wanamaker Building in Central Philadelphia. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 1:15 p.m.

Participants know that e-discovery is not a completely developed area of the law and continues to change rapidly. This new course will bring together technology expert Sharon D. Nelson of Sensei Enterprises, Inc. and attorney David G. Ries of Thorp Reed & Armstrong, who together will advise of the latest developments and the path to the future in e-discovery issues.

Ms. Nelson and Mr. Ries will discuss topics such as proportionality and how it is being used in foreign countries' e-discovery cases; the likely implications for data discovery in cloud computing; and globalization and foreign language impact on electronic discovery.

The faculty will also look at the newest increasingly concerning issue of mobile devices, the increasing popularity of video and social media use, and data encryption.
