E-mail & Blogs: Employee Liability, Policies and Prevention is the title of an upcoming seminar to be hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on Wednesday, October 22. The program will be held at the PBI Conference Center, 5080 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA, as well as simulcast to multiple Pennsylvania locations on the same date. The seminar will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 12:15 p.m.
This technology-based program will explore the potential liability for employers with respect to popular forms of employee electronic communications, including e-mail, blogs, and instant and text messaging. Among the topics to be discussed are hidden costs of e-communication, theories of employer liability for unlawful electronic communication, and employee causes of action against employers.
Faculty for the seminar will be Todd J. Shill, Kevin M. Gold and John R. Martin of Rhoads & Sinon LLP.
