The Pennsylvania Bar Institute will present a course examining the extensive impact the open source software model has had on the world of programming. Two locations in the state will host the program: On July 9, Open Software Licensing will be held at the PBI Professional Development Conference Center, Heinz 57 Center, 339 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh; on July 17, the program will take place at The CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Suite 1010, Philadelphia.
On both days, the seminar will begin at 9 a.m. and adjourn at 1:15 p.m.
Celia M. Bauer, Ariba, Inc. will address key issues such as intellectual property and its relation to open source licensing, litigation risks, patents and open source, managing product development in this unique area and discussion of conducting open source audits.
