The Pennsylvania Bar Institute has scheduled a live CLE seminar titled How the Financial Crisis Has Changed International Business for Thursday, December 10, in Philadelphia and for Friday, December 11, in Pittsburgh. It will be presented at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia and the PBI Professional Development Conference Center, the Heinz 57 Center, in Pittsburgh.
The institute will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4:15 p.m. on both days.
The world financial crisis has been a game changer for most companies doing international business. This seminar will highlight the key areas where lawyers have to be vigilant, including international payments and letters of credit; China: its outbound investment strategies and new restrictions on inbound foreign investment; how India has changed as a result of the crisis; increased risks in conducting due diligence when acquiring companies around the world; and the growing importance of anti-corruption statutes in the U.S. and internationally.
