The Oklahoma Bar association has scheduled a live webcast seminar for corporate lawyers titled Corporate Fraud for Corporate Counsel on Friday, September 12.
The program will start at 9:30 a.m. central time, and the duration time is 450 minutes.
This course will give corporate lawyers, both internal and retained, the latest guidance on how to detect and handle corporate fraud in the corporate environment.Topics include what basic preventive steps the corporation should take to minimize risk and the role counsel should take in this effort; when an investigation should be internal and when outside counsel should be used; conducting an internal corporate investigation; the privacy and privilege issues that counsel must be aware of when fraud occurs; and the key indicators of fraud.
The faculty are Charles Blau of Meadows, Owens, Collier, Reed, Cousins & Blau, L.L.P. and Paul E. Coggins, principal, Fish & Richardson P.C., both Dallas firms.
