The Class of 2008 Kenneth G. Standard Interns was honored at a celebration in August by the Diversity Internship Committee of the New York State Bar Association Corporate Counsel Section.The purpose of the Kenneth G. Standard Diversity Intern program is "to increase the representations of lawyers and students from a diverse range of backgrounds in corporate legal departments, and to provide students from a diverse range of backgrounds with an opportunity to experience in-house legal practice," according to the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).
Kenneth Standard is general counsel of Epstein Becker & Green, and heads its national diversity and professional development committee, which includes members from each of EBG's ten offices nationwide. He is a former President of the NYSBA, the largest voluntary state bar association in the country.
