The New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA) has scheduled a video replay of a CLE seminar titled Breakfast With NYCLA - Protecting and Preserving the Record for Appellate Review.
The program will take place on Friday, January 18 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.
Attendees can expect to learn: how to conduct motion practice to protect their client's appellate rights; how to ensure that the transcript reflects what goes on in the courtroom; how to make an offer of proof that will preserve the issue of the court's refusal to admit evidence; how to word a protest to ensure that an objection actually preserves the issue for appeal, and how to handle requests and exceptions to charge so that the record is protected.

McAloon, P.C.; James O'Sullivan, Fiedelman & McGaw; Jay Weiner, senior principal law clerk, Appellate Division, NY 2nd Department, and the Hon. Richard C.
