The New York County Lawyers Association is looking for volunteer members to participate in a legal counseling project.NYCLA members in good standing can volunteer to provide counseling to clients seeking advice in the areas of family, consumer bankruptcy, employment and landlord/tenant law at the NYCLA's Legal Counseling Project evening clinics.
On Tuesday, September 14, Part I of the project will begin with registration of volunteers for the program. Part II of the program on Tuesday, September 21, will offer further training. Registration, training and the program will be located at NYCLA at 14 Vesey Street in New York City.
No representation of any kind needs to be undertaken; clients are prepared during the clinics for pro se representation.
