The No Glass Ceiling Task Force of the San Francisco Bar Association has scheduled its first 2010 conference, "Crossing the Finish Line," for Thursday, March 25, at the BASF Conference Center in San Francisco.
The No Glass Ceiling Task Force was formed in 2001 to increase opportunities for women to serve in leadership positions in the Bay Area's legal profession. In 2005, survey results indicated that 63 percent of participating firms reported at least 25 percent women partners, and 69 percent reported having reached 25 percent for management positions, far ahead of the national average.
The No Glass Ceiling: Breaking the Barriers 2010 initiative will be launched in 2010 with new goals and projects aimed at the retention and promotion of women attorneys.
This event, Crossing the Finish Line, is for senior associates (class of 2010 and up), junior partners (admitted to partnership since 2005) and in-house counsel. Other conferences will be scheduled for the summer and fall of 2010.
