The New Jersey Institute for Continuing Education is presenting a program titled Effectively Taking & Using A Videotaped Deposition as part of their Fall CLEfest on Tuesday, November 25. The seminar will run from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the Woodbridge Hotel and Conference Center, in Iselin, New Jersey.
Videotaped depositions have become a household word in litigation. Personal injury attorneys, corporate attorneys, commercial litigation attorneys - both plaintiff and defense - often make use of this valuable tool.
Presenters are Michael J. Maggiano, Maggiano, DiGirolamo Lizzi & Roberts, LLP and Daniel J. Pomeroy, Mortenson & Pomeroy.
Topics the attorneys will address include using effective strategies for videotaped depositions as a settlement tool in relationship to the applicable Court Rule, differences between taking an expert videotaped deposition and a layperson videotaped deposition, when to schedule a video deposition rather than taking a live deposition, how to prepare for a video deposition, and familiarity with the equipment.
