The New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA), an independent association of more than 300 New Jersey women lawyers, is holding its first ever Platinum Gala on Wednesday April 9 at the Sheraton Hotel in Woodbridge, NJ.
The NJWLA will be honoring 12 Women from the judicial, public, corporate and private law firm sectors with a Women's Initiative & Leaders (WILL) In Law Platinum Award.The WILL Platinum Award is given to individuals for their exceptional achievements, the development of the legal profession, their sustained contributions to gender equity challenges and other issues unique to women in the legal profession.
This year's honorees are the Hon. Virginia Long, New Jersey Supreme Court justice; the Hon. Freda L. Wolfson, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; the Hon. Katharine Sweeney Hayden, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey; Nina Mitchell Wells, New Jersey secretary of state; Anne Milgram, New Jersey attorney general; Susan Ellen Wolf, Schering-Plough Corporation; Ann Marie Burke, Wakefern Food Corporation; Alice J. Gutler, CentraState Healthcare System; Mariellen Dugan, New Jersey Resources Corporation, Nancy Erika Smith, Smith Mullin; Christine Amalfe, Gibbons, PC, and Cathy Fleming, Nixon Peabody LLP.
