EisnerAmper LLP announces that Michael Sandnes has joined the firm as a director in the Financial Advisory Services (FAS) Group.
Michael has more than 15 years of expertise in the health care industry, working with healthy and distressed for-profits, nonprofits, private equity firms and business organizations. He has worked closely with board of directors leading organizational restructuring, corporate compliance, integrity agreements, governance, and operational/strategic leadership roll outs. He has a proven track record of interim management, turnaround and restructuring, operational assessments, downsizing and corporation compliance—having served as a COO for five acute care hospitals as well as a court-appointed CRO for a regional hospital.
“Unfortunately, due to the current public health crisis, we’re most certainly going to see a huge spike in business restructurings,” said Allen Wilen, National Director of EisnerAmper’s Financial Advisory Services Group. “Add to that the ever-changing landscape for health care facilities, and Michael couldn’t have joined us at a more pivotal time. He will be an invaluable asset to our FAS clients.”
Michael, who will be based at EisnerAmper’s Philadelphia office, has a B.A. from Eastern Michigan University, an M.A. in Health Care from Central Michigan University, and a Certificate in Continuing Medical Education (CME). He is an active member of the American College of Health Care Executives, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Turnaround Management Association. He is also an in-demand speaker and media commentator on distressed health care entities.
