On Thursday, May 13, from 5:30 untilk 7:30 p.m., the Los Angeles County Bar will explain Best Practices for Exchanging Electronically Stored Information with your Clients and Opposing Counsel.
With the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to address e-discovery practices and the California Electronic Discovery Act signed into law, attorneys should be aware of how the exchange of electronic evidence and ESI must proceed.
This seminar will cover the statutory rules and case law that directs California attorneys as to how to preserve, identify, request, exchange, review, and produce ESI. There will be demonstrations of leading industry tools and real life war stories highlighting what to do and what not to do when exchanging electronic evidence with your own client, opposing counsel, or a regulatory authority conducting an audit.
The session will end with an interactive discussion of the newly articulated ethical requirements that are at play when exchanging ESI as well as some group role-playing projects. Alexander H. Lubarsky of Class Consultants will be the presenter.
