The NYSBA has scheduled a program to help attorneys at the start of their careers to establish a foundation in knowledge and skills pertaining to primary areas of intellectual property law.
The program, Practical Skills - Basics of Intellectual Property Law, will be held on Thursday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hotel Pennsylvania, 401 7th Ave., New York City.
The program provides a comprehensive overview of patent law, trademark law, copyright law, trade secrets and licensing, as well as topics and guidance on predicting and handling IP litigation, recent challenges and notable trends on the horizon.
The speakers will be Tony V. Pezzano, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP; Jeffrey I.D. Lewis, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP; Kathleen E. McCarthy, King & Spalding LLP; Ira J.
